Caboolture Community Action Inc(CCA), an Incorporated Association and Registered Charity, was formed in May 2009 to offer practical outreach support and encouragement to people in the local Caboolture/Morayfield area who were experiencing extreme hardship, homelessness or were at risk of homelessness.
CCA is a non-profit organisation, entirely operated by volunteers, our objectives being to...
We currently provide up to 100 hot meals, at our twice weekly ‘Community Cook-ups’ at Centenery Lakes, Caboolture and CCA Residence, Caboolture. CCA volunteers, including representatives from the welfare sector, government agencies and churches are able to listen to individual stories and engage with people who might otherwise fall through the cracks. These twice weekly ‘Community Cook-ups’ provide a number of benefits to many socially isolated and at-risk service users, including a nourishing meal as well as a safe, accepting, inclusive, friendly and supportive environment where people are able to discuss their problems and receive information and referrals to appropriate support agencies.
The CCA kitchen supplies basic hampers on a weekly basis and emergency hampers as required. We presently support around 1200 people per month with hampers consisting of the basic supplies needed to feed a family or individual, including adults, children and pets, for a week. Nappies and toiletries are supplied as available.
This area has trebled recently, with over 40 local welfare and support agencies refering clients to us.
Many of the people who access CCA services are extremely vulnerable and disadvantaged - affected by a range of social issues including homelessness, long-term unemployment, disability, mental illness, domestic violence, sexual abuse, crime etc.
As a non-government funded, not-for-profit organisation, CCA relies heavily of the goodwill and support of individuals, the community and business to enable these vital services to continue.
We are always in need of goods such as non-perishable foods, baby foods, nappies, basic hygiene products etc, or assistance to purchase these items.
ALL donations are passed on FREE to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community.

This honey is produced by a gifted young man who, while having experienced homelessness, helplessness and despair, is now working towards building a brighter future for himself and others.
He collects honey from hives located in Cashmere and Greater Caboolture native bush and forest locations, which is then packaged and sold by CCA volunteers.
Profit is shared and helps support the homeless and needy.
